Breaking Free: Adventures at The Escape Game

There’s something to be said for playing tourist for the day and hanging out by the Orlando attractions. My friends and I decided to do just that, trekking over to International Drive for a night at The Escape Game.

If you haven’t gone to The Escape Game yet, it’s time to book your adventure! With several locations throughout the U.S., The Escape Game offers immersive rooms with a variety of themes. From recovering a priceless painting to taking a trip to Mars, the rooms are creative and fun to choose from. For our escape room adventure, my friends and I had the opportunity to check out the Prison Break game.

How It Works

We arrived about 15 minutes before our game time to check in, where we soon learned that we had chosen the most difficult room! Our group had been convicted for a crime we did not commit, and would be split into two jail cells with a few clues left behind by a former inmate. Both groups would have to work together to break out of our cells and get out of prison.

I won’t tell you how we did it, but over the course of an hour, we managed to escape! We had a blast working together to solve clues, and each puzzle played to a different person’s strengths. We even broke free with a few minutes to spare!

If you’re looking for a fun way to unwind this summer, The Escape Game should be at the top of your list. There is a theme for everyone here. It’s the perfect way to beat the heat (and/or afternoon storms!). Games are easy to book online ahead of time. With a location on International Drive, you’re within walking distance of some great restaurants to grab a bite after you escape.

    1. You’re welcome! They have a lot of fun rooms — Prison Break was challenging but we really enjoyed it! I have also done their Gold Rush room and that was pretty cool. 🙂
